We need a law that allows idiots to be pushed off buildings
I tend to be a good boy and not to be driven off the wall with our dear political environment. Even with the State of the Union address, I really have no complaints about, mostly because everyone in the audience reflected pretty well on our current climate. However, I just have one problem today is it is something very disturbing....
This
Gravity is a theory now? One that fails to prove the concept sufficiently?
Really now, this is some of the most half assed bull I have heard (and I study politics, I deal with it often. But to say that a theory when we see it in action, now how the hell can you come up with the notion that it doesn't exist?
I am starting to wonder about how much people lie to themselves over such things.....I mean, when it comes to global warming, many a Republican doesn't believe it to even exist. I wish that it was mere Democrat propaganda but it isn't, and they honestly believe that global warming does not exist.
Not to mention the whole battle over evolution. Most believers of the Christian faith just sprout whatever comes out of their mouths without much thought into the concepts of evolution. I have yet to meet any believer who has read the Origins of Species.
So, what does that leave us now? Simply put, the scientific community have to deal with the many individuals who have little understanding of the science of the things which they complain about and leaving those with a passion for the field but have chosen another route with little creditability. Its not that they believe their ideas on the sciences, which is fine, but they try to meddle in the affairs of science and prevent real and helpful discoveries from occurring.
So really, whether or not you believe in the existance of gravity, evolution or whatnot, its fine that you do. If you are going to debate about though, just try to have something resembling actual evidence.
And hey, if you need proof of gravity, just try jumping off a building. You will become shorter afterwards though.

In defense of George W. Bush.
Alright kiddos, just to balance out the whole Bush impeachment post, I will include someone would make the man a genius.
I am not part of the problem. I am a Republican. - Dan Quayle
If being a Democrat is wrong, I dont want to be right......
I love California, I practically grew up in Phoenix. - Dan Quayle
Err......lets not go with this one, a tad too easy.....
The American people would not want to know of any misquotes that Dan Quayle may or may not make. - Dan Quayle
Dont know the American people very well, does he?
We're all capable of mistakes, but I do not care to enlighten you on the mistakes we may or may not have made. - Dan Quayle
Let us see.....
The future will be better tomorrow. - Dan Quayle
Yup, one right there.
Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things. - Dan Quayle
And experience teaches us considerably, right Mr. Quayle?
One word sums up probably the responsibility of any vice president, and that one word is 'to be prepared'. - Dan Quayle
.......Yeah.......
There you have it, compared to this man, Bush is the next FDR. Which brings me to mind one quote I happen to have made up for just such an occasion: Never judge others and be thankful for them, for compared to others, they are more saints than sinners.

Wait, what about impeachment?
It seems that our beloved president has gotten himself into quite a jam.....or so it seems.
http://www.insightmag.com/Media/MediaManager/impeachment.htm
If this appears to be the case, just the fact that impechment hearings may be conducted may be one hell of a deathblow for this administration.
The only impeachment that occured sucessfully was with Andrew Jackson, despite the fact that hearings were conducted on Clinton. However, considering that we hit the two year mark, there would be time to conduct such a hearing.
With news about the Bush administrations less than legal spying on citizens, it would seem that this screw up would be the one to really have severe consequences.
As a poltical science major, this is something of considerable interest to me, and at the same time, could be a radical change of pace for politics as a whole. I have my doubts that it would seriously affect the general public in terms of voter output and whatnot, but for the innerworkings of government itself, it may be a considerable overhaul.
We will see in due time what happens, but while I may have joked considerably that Bush would be called the most unpopular president, it may be true if this mataphysical time bomb went out.

Today is a good day for imbecile
(note: apostrophe key is broken so don't expect it unless absolutely necessary to preserve the spirit of grammar)
Well kiddos, I have much to share and vehement vengeance to exact. Today has been an interesting day for bigotry and big brother. I had a choice between talking about Pat Robertson's stating that Sharon's stroke is an act of God's vengeance.
Or the lovely choice of how Homeland Security is going through our private mail.
Given the choice, I take both.
But lets go with the Rev. Robertson first. He believes that Sharons stroke was Gods punishment for trying to compromise with the Palestinians and divide the land. His belief in the land as Gods sacred land is his evidence for the punishment. Now before you take him seriously, he is the same man who wanted someone to assassinate Chavez, not fully realizing that there are laws that forbids assassinations of foreign leaders under strict penalties.
Now don't get me wrong, I believe in Israel's importance, but it is not Gods way of saying "don't screw with my land". The man was old and stricken with years, of course the chances of a stroke was going to happen. But to put the circumstance as though God punished the man is beyond even fundamentalist poppycock. The man had a huge political situation in front of him, as two cultures fought each other just for land. People were dying everyday because of bombings or just regular gunfire. If you just do not do anything, then what kind of leader are you? Simply put, he had to try to compromise with the Palestinians.
Of course, with the high-mindedness that Robertson had in himself, he believed it as an act of God. How many Pharasees believed that they were in the right and acted in a holier than thou manner? And yet people believe him and follow like sheep. As a believer and a intellectual, I am vehemently against beliefs among Chistians that secular media and intellectualism is the devil. How many believers are also intellectuals? And yet this imbecile believes that his way is right and he is the judge, jury and executioner. I do remember a God of mercy, but he does get pissed after a while, his favorite targets being hypocrites. He has time to change, but I sincerely doubt that he will listen to reason. It would take an act of God to get an egotist to change his ways.
Speaking of act of God, Big Brother attempts to be as omnipotent as Deus himself. It is apparent now that Homeland Security can search international mail, even if it is personal. Whether it is a letter for a friend or for a significant other (and judging blindly, for only their eyes), they are authorized to search it without any legal repercussions.
Is it just me or does it seem that rights are being thrown away one by one? From wire taps to the very legal search and seizure, it seems that Americans lose their rights.
It seems to me that people are too scared of the "bad guys" to realize that the organization to watch for is our very government. People believe that government is out to protect them, and I agree. But how many people actually realize that any government can turn dictoral at any time and just take away the rights of the people in exchange for a delusion. And yet it is happening right now, as the leaders of our country act in the "best interest' of the people.
And you know whose fault it is?
The people.
The same people who whine and complain about their rights, the same people who are patriotic to their country, the same people who would die to preserve the freedom....
Are the same people that do not care if people die of hunger, the same people who consider people of different lifestyles second rate, the same people who believe that their opinion counts where everyone is wrong....
Those people make the political process the hell that it is. No one can speak unless the political elites let them which is rare. Overall, the extremists get to voice their opinion while everyone else is left to the curve.
If that isn't a compelling reason for you, here is one that will get you moving faster than an open bar in a funeral....
China is beating us in the superpower race....
China, of all the countries of the world, is slowly gaining power. Of all the slander about communists countries, we find one that actually is effective.
How low can we go?

I hath returned....
In a rush of adrenaline, the gallent hero rides like never before, his steed slowly but surely reaching the breaking point. His thoughts raced. what would happen to his love? what could his rival do to her? Why did he eat the pork with Merlot? That's just gross - Random excerpt I made up for your amusement
Well spidey-fans, I am back, much like bad company or or a lying politcian. After going to my mind whether or not I should return, I finally found it the necessary time to do so, although after a while you wish I hath not returned.
But really, I could not write much about my very own life, mostly because it's somewhat boring. My days are more or less the same, as I wish I had the opportunity to do something more worthwhile. Someone would interject saying that "Boring people are bored" and to that I would say to try to accomplish that where there are nothing but strip malls in a 10 mile radius is difficult. That and I would make a silly remark regarding bowties.
But what to write about? Then the idea came to me....why not just write what you think about? The concept is simple in theory but considering my mind, it is possible to accomplish two of my favorite objectives: sharing ideas and driving people insane. And isn't that what life is all about? (to answer your question....no)
Aye, this may be a short entry, but after the next few posts, you will wish you had a short post...or whiskey, that's always good....
Tata...
